I’m 60, and like a lot of women my age, I’m figuring out what this next chapter is supposed to look like.
I don’t have it all figured out. I’m still working, still thinking about retirement, still making plans, changing my mind, and occasionally wondering what the heck I’m doing. 😂
But I’ve realized something along the way: getting older doesn’t mean our lives have to get smaller.
Why I Created Senior Solo Living
I created Senior Solo Living because I know I’m not the only woman asking, “What now?”
Maybe you’re living alone for the first time. Maybe you’ve been doing it for years. Maybe you’re thinking about retirement, wondering how to make the money work, or simply trying to figure out what you actually want your days to look like.
I want this to be a place where we can talk about all of it — the practical stuff, the fun stuff, the frustrating stuff, and the little things that make life feel good.
No pretending I have all the answers. Just sharing what I’m learning along the way.
The Life I’m Building
I’m a Florida girl who loves being outside, working in the garden, cooking, exploring little places around Florida, and finding simple ways to enjoy life.
I’m also at a point where I’m thinking seriously about what I want the years ahead to look like — not just working until I can finally stop, but actually having something to look forward to when I get there.
Senior Solo Living is part of that. It’s me figuring out how to make this next chapter feel like a life I chose, rather than simply the life that happened.
